Located in Portland, Oregon, fcrWebDesign is a small web design firm focused on creating beautiful websites that create real results for our clients. Since 2004, fcrWebDesign has designed a variety of websites, from retail establishments and condominium projects, to websites for government agencies and artists.
We strive to make the web design process easy and enjoyable. By focusing on exceptional customer service and delivering your project on time, on budget, and with the highest quality, we build lasting relationships with our clients.
We are a small, husband and wife team -- but we do big things. We take our work personally, and fully engross ourselves in the mission and goals of our clients with the idea that we are truly part of their organization and that their success is a measure of our contributions. While small, we can create large and complex websites, in part because of the tools we have created and our extensive experience creating websites.

Forrest Smith founded fcrWebDesign in 2004. His degree is in Architecture was in large part paid for by working through college on websites for local businesses and organizations. Entirely self taught, Forrest began building complex database websites for architects and organizations like the US Green Building Council, Metro, and the National Community Land Trust Network. In 2004, he left his position at a prominent Portland architecture firm to pursue his interests in the web design world. His background in architecture provided a strong basis with an aesthetic that seeks cleanliness, functionality, and ease of use. His strong coding ability has increased with time and for the past several years has been developing an integrated system of tools that makes maintaining and enhancing websites easier. In the future, Forrest hopes to meld his interests in architecture, community development and web design to create tools that provide greater interaction with how cities are designed and built, and how we govern ourselves.
Forrest is responsible for the graphic design of each website, as well as developing the website modules which form the foundation for each of our websites.

With the continued success and growth of fcrWebDesign, Jeannie, Forrest’s wife was brought on board in June of 2010 to rescue Forrest from his ever-growing to-do list. Prior to joining fcrWebDesign, Jeannie spent the previous three years as part of the Individual Sales Team at a large insurance company in Portland, working extensively with their web development team to improve their online health insurance application process. This included usability testing, bug tracking, and updating website content.
With her role at fcrWebDesign, Jeannie is responsible for front-end website coding, content submission, cross-browser and usability testing, and many of fcrWebDesign’s daily office functions.
